Scottish adventurer set for Angus College talk

One OF Scotland’s most inspiring figures is set to give a talk at Angus College on his adventures.

Mark Beaumont, ‘The Man Who Cycled the World’, is coming to the Angus Centre for Enterprise, on Thursday.

He has filmed BBC documentaries about his numerous cycling, climbing and rowing expeditions, including breaking the Guinness World Record for the fastest true circumnavigation of the world by bicycle and has been awarded the Glenfiddich ‘Top Scot’ award.

Mark will be giving his talk just three weeks before the start of one of his toughest challenges yet. As part of STV’s 2013 appeal he will be swimming and running the breadth of Scotland over 10 days.

Mark said: “I always enjoy the opportunity to talk about motivation, major project planning and following your dreams. It is so important that people grow up inspired and passionate about what they do.

“Angus College is local to me, so coming back to speak at the Enterprise Centre should be a great day.”
