Nominations are being invited for a prestigious award recognising the individuals or groups which best represent Angus.

The Angus Ambassador Awards celebrate those whose achievements inspire and motivate people in our area to be the best they can be.

The award falls under the auspices of the Angus Ahead programme and the organisers are keen to hear from the public.

Nominations should be submitted by September 17

The awards will be presented by Angus Provost Helen Oswald at a ceremony in the Carnoustie Golf Hotel on November 29.

She said: “I am so impressed by the talent I’ve seen in Angus and the inspiring individuals who I’ve met through the Angus Ambassador Awards.

“Often their work goes unnoticed but it’s important to shout about it so that everyone can appreciate their efforts.

“Apply now and get the recognition you deserve.”

Past Angus Ambassadors have recently included Brucefield B&B in Arbroath, Carnoustie Gala Committee, Paul Grant, chairman of Mackays Ltd,. and Sheriff Norrie Stein for his work with the CAFE Project.
