Following the announcement by transport union RMT to strike, ScotRail has advised on which services will be affected on strike days.

The RMT has confirmed its intention to strike on the following dates: Tuesday, June 21; Thursday, June 23; Saturday, June 25; Sunday, June 26; Sunday, July 3; Sunday, July 10; and Sunday, July 17.

A spokesperson for ScotRail stated: “We remain committed to holding further talks in a bid to avoid any action. In the meantime we are putting plans in place to run as many trains as possible to help you get where you need to go.

“The timetable is being prepared at the moment but we’ve prepared this key summary of the routes affected to help you plan ahead.”

Services in this area running on a reduced frequency (trains will run between approximately 7am-7pm) - Glasgow Central – Stirling/Perth/Dundee/Aberdeen; Edinburgh – Dundee.

Cancelled services affecting our area - Edinburgh – Aberdeen/Dyce/Inverurie; Glasgow Queen St – Stirling/Dunblane/Alloa/Dundee/Carnoustie/Arbroath.
