How easy is it for visitors to Carnoustie to find their way around the town?
That was a question posed by the Big Carnoustie Conversation last year, when residents were asked whether the existing visitor signage is fit for purpose.
One of the requirements that emerged from the Big Conversation – a design charrette to find a long-term vision and action plan for the town – was the need for an audit of visitor signage, as well as proposals to point the way in the future.
Angus Council’s communities team are taking a walk around town on Wednesday, February 17, with tourism and roads colleagues to assess the signage. They would be delighted if residents, with all their local knowledge, joined them.
Carnoustie Development Group and Colourful Carnoustie will be joining the tour of the town as it focuses on the links between the seafront and the high street.
The walkabout departs at 1pm from the Panmure Centre in Kinloch Street and then again from the Carnoustie Golf Hotel at 1.20pm.
