Why stop at seven voyages?
Sinbad may have travelled his way across oceans and seas on seven epic voyages, but the fearless sailor’s latest travels took him on an exhausting excursion around Arbroath, with his mum!
The fabled sailor and his mother, the indomitable Betty of Baghdad, had their stamina stretched to wheezing-point at a fitness class at the town’s Saltire Sports Centre.
They then headed to local car dealers and panto sponsors Mackie Motors, where any thoughts of trading a magic carpet for a more conventional mode of transport went up in a puff of smoke.
Sinbad (Nathan Byrne) and Betty (Graham Crammond) are starring in the Webster Theatre’s swashbuckling family panto Sinbad this festive season.
A rip-roaring three-week show, written and directed by John Binnie and designed by Robin Mitchell, it opens to the public on Saturday, December 3, and runs to Saturday, December 24.
