Arbroath’s iconic Hospitalfield House is flinging open its doors for a series of events throughout the summer which are open to the public.The historic house acts as an arts centre dedicated to offering residency opportunities to artists and other creative people who are invited to Hospitalfield for creative time and space away from their usual environment and obligations.
The team are giving visitors the chance to see inside during heritage tours which will run every Wednesday and offer the chance to get an up close and personal viewing of the interior and exterior of Hospitalfield House.
Tours will run from 2-3pm and cost £8.50 per person inclusive of tea, coffee and cake.
Sofia Khan, programme trainee said: “Also on Wednesdays, we have relaunched our Wednesday Cafe which runs from 2 - 5 pm and allows visitors to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee on the grounds. There will also be a selection of freshly made cakes on offer.
“Our Garden Club runs every Saturday and allows access to the walled gardens. Tours cost £3.50. A selection of tea, coffee and cake is also available.”
The House will also be hosting a Summer Open Weekend running from the June 26-28.
The programme of events will include artist’s screenings, talks and workshops.
Sofia continued: “This is a great time to experience the liveliness of the house, with heritage tours and the Garden Cafe also running over the weekend. Our schedule runs all day, but visitors are welcome to dip in and out.”
