Kinblethmont Gallery, on the outskirts of Arbroath, has announced details of an exciting new exhibition which will begin on Sunday, May 25.
Seldom-seen work by the late William Littlejohn of Arbroath, to his usual sublime standard from the Royal Scottish Academy store, will go on show at the gallery until June 8.
The exhibition also features stunning fresh new work from the five annual winners of the William Littlejohn Award for Excellence in Water Based Art.
They are Laura Sutherland from Edinburgh, 2009; Jean Duncan from Fife, 2010; Paul Westcombe from Inverness, 2011; Anne Murray from Aberdeenshire 2012 and Kyle Noble, Aberdeenshire 2013.
Robert Ramsay of the gallery said: “For anyone interested in where art comes from and where it goes to, this is a fascinating exhibition. Five young artists from across Scotland, brought together by the RSA William Littlejohn Award for Excellence, in a sense, brought together by Littlejohn himself; and then they scatter, to find their own roads to creativity and what diversity that has brought us.”
The free exhibition is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
