TICKETS are still available for the last show in aid of Brooke’s Dream.
The Song for the Dream concert was organised before fund-raising for Brooke Ramsay’s aftercare treatment came to an end, and will be held in the Starlight Showrooms, Guthrie Street, Dundee, tomorrow (Saturday).
Brooke (8) recently underwent a selective dorsal rhizotomy to remove spasticity in her legs caused by cerebral palsy. A fund-raising campaign was launched to pay for her post-operation physiotherapy and further treatment.
The show will feature acts performing a variety of tunes from pop to country, musical theatre to golden oldies, and there will also be a silent auction and raffle.
Confirmed lots in the silent auction include: a £200 voucher for a professional painter and decorator; a meal for two at the Fort Hotel, Broughty Ferry; a signed Dundee United FC ball and a handmade necklace valued between £70 and £100.
Bids for the silent auction should be sent to Ross Croll by email at email@example.com or by phone on 07875507034 before 7 p.m. on Saturday. The results will be announced during the interval.
Brooke’s dad Stewart Ramsay said: “Your overwhelming support in the past year has seen us reach all our targets and have allowed us to re-donate £24,500 to other well deserved causes. This past year really has changed our lives forever.
“We are still in the process of collecting from past events and are looking seriously at the possibility that we may be able to re-donate some more in the future.”
