Teen injured after car hits tree

A 15-year-old male is in hospital with serious injuries after the car he was travelling in collided with a tree near Carnoustie.

The incident happened at around 10.15 p.m. on Friday on the B9128 Forfar to Carnoustie road, near to Crombie Crossroads.

The black coloured Honda which was travelling southwards towards Carnoustie where he was a passenger, left the road and collided with a tree.

The injured teenager was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee by ambulance.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or the vehicle involved prior to this incident is asked to contact Police Scotland, Tayside Division on 101.
