A memorial service was held within The Falklands Memorial Gardens at the Ministry of Defence Barry Buddon Camp by Carnoustie on Sunday, June 12.

The 34th anniversary service was organised by The East of Scotland Branch of The Royal Marines Association.

In attendance were veterans of The Falklands conflict and current serving Royal Marines from RM Condor.

The service was conducted by Kevin Proctor RM and the ‘Ode to The Fallen’ was read by the former 45 Commando Commanding Officer Major General Andrew Whitehead CB DSO.

RM Condor lost 13 men during the Falklands conflict and 45 Commando sent 13 serving Royal Marines to lay flowers at each of the memorial stones.
