CARNOUSTIE Library is currently home to one of the greatest adventurers known to children everywhere.

Tintin has taken up residence in a brand new display in the junior section of the library in the run up to the release of the new film.

Librarian David Robertson said: “This has been spurred on by the film, although Tintin is always pretty popular perennially anyway and this will give it a boost.

“We have the whole series except for the very first book, ‘Tintin and the land of the Soviets’, which I ordered on Monday, and we hope to have it soon.”

The display will be on show until around Christmas and will hopefully encourage a new generation of young readers to immerse themselves in the adventures of the plucky Belgian.
