Arbroath visitors continue to spend a penny in style after Angus Council’s toilet facilities had a good run in a national competition.

The Loo Of The Year Awards and Attendant Of The Year Awards recognised the efforts of the local authority to provide toilet facilities for visitors, with the Arbroath harbour Visitor Centre gaining a platinum award and a gold award going to the Market Gate ‘superloo’.

Angus Council was also named the national winner for Scotland in the Public Toilet Entries and received A Premier League Local Authority Award.

Communities convener Councillor Donald Morrison said: “Congratulations to our toilet attendants here today. The success of Angus superloos in these national awards year on year is a reflection of the dedication and hard work of the attendants.”
