CARNOUSTIE twins Ayley and Chloe Hirsch were the ones handing out the cheques for a change when they donated £300 to Brooke Ramsay.
Both Ayley, Chloe and Brooke suffer from cerebral palsy and both sets of parents started major fund-raising campaigns so their girls could have life-changing surgery allowing them to walk.
Ayley and Chloe (3) underwent the surgery in the USA earlier this year, while last week it was revealed that the NHS were willing to fund Brooke (7), who is also from Carnoustie, to have the operation in Bristol.
Last month, the story of the twins and how well they responded to the surgery featured in national women’s magazine ‘Pick Me Up’. Their parents Averil and Fraser received £300 from the publication.
But with their fund-raising efforts now over, they decided to give the cash to Brooke’s parents, Laura and Stewart, to go towards their daughter’s treatment.
And on Wednesday afternoon the twins presented their cheque to Brooke. Pictured with them are Ayley and Chloe’s big sister Lilly and Brooke’s younger brother Ben and twin sister Amy.
