THE CARNOUSTIE Gala Day parade went ahead despite the abysmal weather at the weekend.
On Saturday afternoon, the parade, led by the Carnoustie and District Pipe Band led a convoy of mounted and walking floats from local groups and a collection of vintage vehicles along the main thoroughfares of Carnoustie and up to the House Grounds for the Gala Day fete.
The intermittent rain did not deter onlookers, and there was a good turnout all along the route.
Our video shows the Carnoustie and District Pipe Band, street entertainers, Olympic torch carrier Andy Coogan and the walking float of the Carnoustie and Maule-Aulnay Twinning Association as they passed the War Memorial.
Keep an eye out for more videos of the parade later this week and read the Gala Week round-up in the Guide & Gazette on Friday.
