VIDEO: Ringing in the Olympics

CARNOUSTIE folk were ringing in the Olympics this morning (Friday) as part of a national art project.

Around 90 people gathered at the Newton of Panbride Church on Arbroath Road to mark the start of the London 2012 Olympics by ringing bells.

At precisely 8.12 a.m. those gathered at the church joined bell-ringers up and down the country in ringing a host of assorted bells for three minutes as part of Martin Creed’s specially commissioned conceptual piece Work No. 1,197.
