Work for Games shooting

ANGUS Council’s department of infrastructure services has received a notice of application from Glasgow 2014 Ltd., for works associated with the shooting events of the 2014 Commonwealth Games being held at Barry Buddon.

This is a stage in the planning process that all major applications have to go through and will clear the way for a public exhibition to be staged to allow residents to see and comment on what will happen on the site.

The games will take over land to the east of Barry Buddon camp and to the West of Carnoustie Golf Club.

Around 500 competitors and support staff will be involved in the five-day event and several thousand spectators are expected each day.
