CARNOUSTIE and Monifieth libraries celebrated World Book Night this year in Monifieth with a visit from crime author and former advocate Gillian Galbraith (seated left).
Now a full time author, Gillian is very much interested in why people of previously sound character who end up committing terrible crimes.
Her experiences in law have been invaluable in her writing. She specialised in medical negligence and came into contact with experts in fields such as pharmacology and pathology. World Book Night is a celebration of books and reading. A number of library staff were selected to become book givers and books were given away at various locations, including the local medical practice.
