THE LARGER-than-life wrestlers from WrestleZone are set to make a splash in Arbroath later this month.

The grapplers will be in bone-crunching wrestling action at the town’s Community Centre on Saturday, November 24.

And the main event promises to be a great contest as the tag team championships will be on the line when the Hotshots defend against Johnny Lions and Aspen Faith.

WrestleZone representative Dave Paterson is hyped for the return of wrestling to the Angus capital and added: “The Hotshots have reigned long as tag team champions, but no doubt Faith and Lions will want to win the gold in Arbroath.

“This championship match will be the main event on a packed card of action, and we are all anticipating a great evening’s grappling fun.

“Shawn Johnson and Bryan Tucker are two of our most popular grapplers, and they will want to build on their success in this main event match.”

The bout will headline a super six-match card that will also feature colourful characters such as Los Cystos, Blue Thunder, Crusher Craib and Sterling Oil.

The event will mark the next step on the road to the Aberdeen Beach Ballroom, with WrestleZone currently planning a supershow to take place in June next year.

Mr Paterson continued: “All eyes are on next year’s huge event, and the results of this bout matter in the reckoning. WrestleZone offer great family-friendly entertainment, with the emphasis on crowd interaction with our grapplers.”

Doors at the Arbroath Community Centre open at 7 p.m. with the action getting underway at 7.30 p.m. Admission is pay-at-the-door only, priced £10 for adults and £7 for under 14s.
