A young author from Broughty Ferry is setting his sights high for his first novel, a political thriller about the independence referendum.
Callum Duffy (15), a fourth year pupil at Grove Academy, will officially launch his début novel ‘To Kill The Truth’, next month at a special event attended by literary and current affairs figures.
Set against the backdrop of the Scottish independence referendum it follows the adventures of three members of the public thrust into the political mire as they seek to uncover some disturbing truths.
As the story unfolds the state attempts to silence the unlikely heroes and keep the truth from the electorate, but what exactly are they hiding?
The book took 18 months to complete and Callum said: “I really enjoyed writing it and I hope people will enjoy reading it. It is great to see the book finally published after a lot of hard work.”
‘To Kill The Truth’ is available now in all good book shops priced £7.99 or on Amazon at £3.99. For more details visit
