BROUGHTY FERRY DARTS LEAGUE RESUMES

A new season of the Steve Clenaghan Auto-Centre League began on Monday night with Doc Ferry's, Occidental, Spice, Vault and defending champions Occidental A all making winning starts.
Results: Steve Clenaghan Auto-Centre League - Doc Ferry's 10, Crown 2; Jolly's 3, Vault 9; Spice 7, Gunners 5; Occidental A 8, Eagle 4; Vault A 4, Occidental 8.

Champions Cup qualifier from Vault B was Stuart McGregor.

Monday's fixtures: Steve
Clenaghan Auto-Centre League - Crown v Vault A; Gunners v Occidental A; Vault B v Jolly's; Eagle v Doc Ferry's; Occidental v Spice; free week, Vault.
Scottish qualifier - John Leighton, Occidental A, has qualified for the Winmau Scottish Masters Final.

Carnoustie Ladies Darts League (sponsored by John Barr Cabs)

Fiona Smith, Corner, won the weekly summer singles competition at the Kinloch on Thursday.

She defeated Elizabeth Penman, Kinloch, in the final to record her second win of the summer.

The final weekly singles competition of the summer is planned for All Stars on Thursday, August 21, with an 8 p.m. start. All female darts players are welcome, whether experienced or beginners.

The following Thursday, August 28, the new Trident Trophy charity competition will be held in the Craw's Nest, with an 8 p.m. start, preceded by a captains' meeting at 7.30 p.m.
League fixtures commence on September 4.

Carnoustie Darts League
This week's summer singles competition at All Stars on Monday night was won by Mike Taylor, Corner, who defeated Iain Kinnear, 19TH, in the final.

Both players scored a '180' during the evening, as did Alex Graham, Golf Inn. Iain Kinnear also had a 116 check-out.

All teams wishing to take part in the new league season must be represented at the annual general meeting in the Corner on Monday, August 18, at 7.30 p.m. New teams will be made especially welcome.

The weekly summer singles competition will follow at the same venue.
