THERE was disappointment yet again for Broughty Athletic and its fans as Saturday's league game at home against Forfar Albion was called off by local referee Ross McIntyre after an 11.15 a.m. pitch inspection.
With all local outdoor facilities struggling due to the weather, the Broughty squad and coaching staff then boarded their minibus and headed over to Tentsmuir beach, where the players took part in a 90-minute 10-a-side game amongst themselves.

Manager Kenny Cameron put a brave face on his disappointment and said after the training session: "It was good for all the players to take part in a full-size game to keep them ticking over."

The focus is now on the game tomorrow (Saturday), at home to Super League side Glenrothes for an East of Scotland Cup second round tie.

The kick-off will be at 2.30 p.m.

Five North Division fixtures are also scheduled for tomorrow: Arbroath Sporting Club v Dundee Violet, Brechin Victoria v Dundee East Craigie, Coupar Angus v Dundee North End, Forfar Albion v Lochee Harp and Kirrie Thistle v Arbroath Victoria.
