GRAND PRIX SHOWJUMPING EVENT AT ROWANLEA

The first competition of the season at Rowanlea Riding School, Barry, was a two-day grand prix showjumping event held last Wednesday, June 24, and on Sunday, June 28.
Junior riders were competing for the Lady Gelis Cup, and senior riders for the Diamond Cup.

Juniors

Novice - 1, Logan Thomson, on 'Joey'; 2 equal, Cara Duncan, on 'Foxy', and Leigh Clark, on 'Sparky'.

Open - 1, Sophie Rosenzweig, on 'Jasper'; 2, Claire Smith, on 'Molly'; 3, Jo Guthrie, on 'Darcy'; 4, Marisa Shaw, on 'Warrior'.

Turn-out, Erin Logie, on 'Kermit', and Logan Thomson, on 'Joey'.
Overall junior champion and winner of the Lady Gelis Cup, Sophie Rosenzweig, on 'Jasper'.

Seniors

Novice - 1 equal, Carol Black, on 'Elie', and Kim Gunstone, on 'Raquel'; 3, Rachael Kibbler, on 'Jack'.

Open - 1, Stephen Adam, on 'Queenie'; 2, Sharon Steele, on 'Tango'; 3, Sharon Steele, on 'Edward'; 4, Carole Clark, on 'Ben'; 5, Jennifer Auer, on 'Archie'; 6, Kristi James, on 'Martha Monkey'; 7, Steve James, on 'Chester'.
