JENNIFER NOW ONE OF THE 'ELITE'

JENNIFER Brankin, a P6 pupil at Burnside School, Carnoustie, passed her British Gymnastics, Compulsory Level 3 at Perth at the weekend, and was awarded her Elite certificate.
She was placed first in the all-around competition and received a further gold medal for the highest score in the range and conditioning element of the competition.

In the four apparatus disciplines, her placings were: vault, second; bars, third; beam, first; and floor, first.

Jennifer is a member of Dundee Gymnastic Club 2K, and is trained by head coach, Beate Petersen.

She is also a member of the Scottish Gymnastics Start Squad, and trains at various sport centres in Scotland with the Scottish national coaches.

Jennifer trains weekly for 23 hours, and a further 16 hours per month at weekend camps at Inverclyde and Bellahouston Sport Centres.
