KRIS IS LEADING LOCAL IN MIDLANDS MEETING

CARNOUSTIE'S Kris Harper was the leading local player in last Wednesday's Midland Golfers' Alliance meeting at Kirriemuir.
A level-par 68 gave scratch-handicapper Kris a share of third place, just one shot behind joint winners Edzell pro Alastair Webster and unattached professional Steve Martin, from Dundee.

Another Carnoustie player Jack Cree was joint second in the
handicap section with a net 66, playing off 14.
