STATION STOATERS LEAD QUIZ LEAGUE

In last Wednesday's penultimate qualifying round of the John Barr Cabs Carnoustie Quiz League, there were wins for Station Stoaters and Taymouth Numties at the Corner Hotel and Craw's Nest respectively.
Station Stoaters increased their overall lead in Section 1 with a score of 129. Krazy Kwizzers (120) were second, Sparklets A (109) third, Sparklets B (102) fourth, and Kinloch Clueless (95) fifth.

In the absence of Kornair A, Section 2 has been t
hrown wide open. Taymouth Numties took first place on the night with 104. Corner A (97) were second, Alpha Q (94) third, Don Quizote (92) fourth, and No Ideas (70) fifth.

Overall placings and points totals after five rounds:

Section 1 - 1, Station Stoaters 654; 2, Krazy Kwizzers 580; 3, Sparklets A 532; 4, Sparklets B 517; 5, Kinloch Clueless 453; 6, Stag's Head 189; 7, Roond The Bend 172.

Section 2 - 1, Alpha Q 574; 2, Corner A 526; 3, Taymouth Numties 521; 4, Kornair A 490; 5, Don Quizote 458; 6, No Ideas 440.

Last qualifying round is on Wednesday, May 21, Section 1 in Craw's Nest, and Section 2 in Corner Hotel, both 7.45 pm sign-in for 8 p.m. start.

League and consolation play-offs will be held on May 28, league play-off in Craw's Nest, and consolation play-off in New Taymouth Golf Club.
Presentation night has been arranged for the Craw's Nest on June 4.
