Returns included (all Stirling): K. Burns, caught seven and kept four weighing 11lbs 12ozs on blobs and a cormorant; J. Marshall, caught and kept four weighing 9lbs on a bloodworm; G. Hogan, caught 10 and kept four weighing 9lbs 4ozs on a black and green fritz; C. Meikljohn, caught three and kept two weighing 3lbs on a white blob; C. Teven, caught and kept two weighing 2lbs 8ozs on a blob; D. Symon, caught and kept two weighing 9lbs 8ozs on a blob, his best a rainbow weighing 8lbs; J. Vann, caught and kept three weighing 6lbs on a blob.
Other anglers’ returns were: J. Dick, Dundee, caught three and kept two weighing 4lbs 2ozs on a dancer; and V. Patterson, Alloa, caught and kept two weighing 4lbs 8ozs on a blob.
On catch and release were: Wayne Scott, Dundee, 20 on buzzers; Ally Stewart, Dundee, 19 on lures; Les Gall, Dundee, 14 on lures; F. Ross, Dundee, 13 on buzzers; D. Mahoney, Dundee, 12 on lures; G. Cheetham, Monifieth, 12 on buzzers; John Orr, Carnoustie, six on lures; G. Cameron, Dundee, five on buzzers; Dave Thoms, Carnoustie, four on a black pennal; Neil Boath, Tayport,six on lures, his best were were weighing 9lbs each; and Mr Clark, Forfar, 11 on buzzers.
Tayside Cup successes
AFC PLOUGH and FC Porty were the only two local Forfar League sides to advance in the Tayside Sunday Amateur Cup on Sunday.
