Dale too hot for Fed

Armadale Thistle 5, Broughty Athletic 1

BROUGHTY Athletic journeyed south on Saturday to West Lothian to play Armadale Thistle in a Premier League fixture.

The visitors lost a goal in the opening minutes when RARITY was given too much time in the box. Play was even after this and Fed deservedly equalised in 30 minutes when KOHLER finished well.

Broughty almost took the lead but Fraser’s effort was saved at the second attempt by Stuart Walker.

Inside 30 seconds of the restart it was the home side which went ahead through FEENEY. The Fed had a good spell of pressure but it was Thistle which scored the vital next goal in the 70th minute, DALRYMPLE providing the finish.

The match was put beyond battling Broughty in the final five minutes when McLEOD fired in the goal of the game and FEENEY completed the scoring from the penalty spot.
