Curling

Membership drive

ARBROATH Curling Club has inaugurated a membership drive to ensure it continues to thrive.

The club was formed in 1884 and was registered with The Royal Caledonian Curling Club in 1887. However, now that it is 128 years old, membership has fallen to single figures.

Allistair Gibb, secretary, explained: “In order to maintain the club’s existence we are looking for new members, young and old, male and female, to join.

“All levels are welcome and tuition will be given.”

Anyone interested should contact Mr Gibb on 01241 874864 for further information.
