Amateur football fixtures

The first games of the new amateur football season get under way tomorrow (Saturday) with all local teams involved.

In the first round of the Scottish Cup, Barnhill have been drawn away to Bridgeton United and Broughty United away to Portcullis with Carnoustie YM at home to Dundee East.

A.M. Phillip Alliance Division One - St James v Broughty United (B. Archibald), Fairfield Park.

Marquee Trophy: section one – Tayside Fire Brigade v Broughty United (R. Milne), Charlotte Street: section three – Bank Street Athletic v Carnoustie YM (N. Brand), Fintry Park.

Tay Valley Shield 1, section three – FC Polonia Dundee v Barnhill (B. Fraser), Drumgeith 4: Tay Valley Shield 2: section three - Arbroath Harp v Carnoustie Athletic (G. Cavanagh), McDonald Park.

Lunan Trophy, section two – Barnhill v Invergowrie (G. Fitzpatrick), Monifieth High School; Carnoustie YM v NCR (E. Woods), Carlogie Park: section three – Monifieth Tayside v Carnoustie Athletic (K. Wilson), Riverview.

Wednesday: Marquee Trophy, section one – Broughty United v Dundee College (J. Rice), Dawson 1: section three – Riverside v Carnoustie YM (M. Crawford), Finlathen 1.

Tay Valley Shield 1, section one – Dundee City v Monifieth Tayside (R. Milne), St Pauls High School: section three – Merpro v Barnhill (M. Anderson), Broomfield Park.

Kick-offs, Saturday, all 2 p.m; midweek, 6.30 p.m. Home secretaries must contact both the referee and opposition secretary 72 hours before the game with pitch location and strip colours.
