EAGLE moved one point clear at the top of the Steve Clenaghan Auto-Centre League with a narrow home victory over Gunners on Monday night.

Previous co-leaders Doc Ferry’s were on a free week and have dropped to fourth in the table after being overtaken by Vault and defending champions Occidental A.

AN OPEN singles competition held in the Corner on Monday night was won by Steve Yeaman, who beat Dave Watt in the final.

The final open competition of the summer will be held in the Craw’s Nest this Monday, September 12. There will also be a captains’ meeting at the same venue, starting at 7.30 p.m.
