Monifieth Under-15s had an excellent win to go through to round five of the Scottish Cup on Sunday and Broughty United Under-14s and Ferry Athletic Under-17s took the bragging rights in their local cup matches.

In a bad weekend for local teams, Carnoustie Ym and Barnhill bowed out of this year’s Foster’s Scottish Amateur Cup and Monifieth lost out in their Wallace Trophy match.

In the leagues Monifieth were defeated in Division One and Carnoustie YM lost out in a high scoring game with Invergowrie in Alliance One.
