Games survive the weather

DESPITE the dreadful weather at the end of last week, a number of games in the Forfar and District Sunday League went ahead.

Results were:

Gowfers’ Gamble

THERE was no jackpot winner when the weekly Gowfers’ Gamble draw was made at Laing park on Monday evening.

Numbers drawn were 2, 3, 6, 8, 11 and 13.

Consolation prizes of £20 each go to J. Ramsay, Carnoustie, and K. Scott, Arbroath.

Jackpot for the next draw on Monday (October 22) is £2,250.

Ladies’ football

THE TWO local clubs seem to be having more postponed games than played at the moment, but Monifieth Under-13s will hopefully manage to get their game against Forfar Farmington Blues played tomorrow (Saturday).
