It was a case of reap what you sow on Saturday according to Panmure boss Alan McSkimming.
Carnoustie dropped out of the Scottish Junior Cup after a 5-2 defeat at the hands of Super League side Camelon Juniors.
The gaffer said: “The second half was the positive for me. The first 30 minutes we were pretty much blown away by the tempo Camelon played at.
“The scoreline summed up the day. We were sloppy defensively and not clinical enough in front of goal.
“Sometimes you’ve just got to hold your hands up and admit we were beaten by the better team on the day. Our top players simply did not perform, considering the magnitude of the game.”
Alan will be looking for a reaction tomorrow (Saturday) against Sauchie Juniors at Beechwood Park.
He said: “On Monday we did a lot of shaping, defensive and attacking exercises just to work on a few things I thought were sloppy. Hopefully we’ve got worked out and we’re looking forward to Saturday and taking what we’ve been working on from the training pitch into the game.”
