Gowfers’ friendlies programme

Gowfers’ boss Alan McSkimming has arranged a programme of friendlies to get his lads ready for the coming campaign.

Tomorrow (Saturday) the Gowfers hit the road to Stirling to meet AFC Milton.

Next Wednesday (July 24), there is a home tie against East Craigie with a 7 p.m. kick-off. This is followed by another home fixture on Saturday, July 27, when Highland League side Deveronvale come calling, which gets under way at 2.30 p.m.

Two days later on Monday evening, the Gowfers make the short trip to Whitton Park to meet Broughty Athletic, with a 7 p.m. start and they then wind up their programme on Saturday, August 3, with a home tie against Edinburgh City FC at 2.30 p.m.

Saturday, August 10, sees the start of the season proper with the Gowfers having a tough tie when they travel to New Dundas Park to meet last season’s runners-up, Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic.

Three days later, on Tuesday, August 13, Lochee United visit Laing Park, with a 7 p.m. start. On Saturday, August 17, the Gowfers will again be at home when the visitors are Sauchie Juniors and this is followed by a trip to Recreation Park on August 24 to meet St Andrews United.

On Saturday, August 31, they travel to Keirs Park to meet Hill of Beath Hawthorn. The last of the games so far announced is a home tie against Tayport.
