GOWFERS’ manager Ian Gilzean is hoping his side get back to winning ways with a local derby against Lochee United tomorrow (Saturday).

Panmure were without a game on Saturday after a waterlogged pitch at Bathgate Thistle forced a postponement.

But Ian says they are confident they can collect three points from the clash.

He said: “It is a big game for us and I suppose a bit of a local derby so it is important we get the right result.

“If we play the way I know we can then we should be able to take three points.

“We are both down there at the bottom so whoever wins gets the chance to put day light between the other.

“We are definitely confident and managed to catch the second half of their game against Tayport on Saturday.

“And I don’t think we have anything to fear, especially as we have a full squad fit and available.”

The Gowfers may not have been in action on Saturday, but that didn’t mean the side had the day off.

Ian explained: “We were told early on Saturday the game was off so all the boys got together and we still had a training session.

“You don’t want games to be called off and you would rather play, especially as we don’t know what the weather will be like this weekend.

“You don’t want to have loads of games and be playing two or three games a week like some were last year.”
