It’s more a case of second time lucky tomorrow (Saturday) as the Gowfers replay their cup tie against Maryhill.
Manager Alan McSkimming is hoping his side can up their game for the replay at Laing Park.
He said: “I think Saturday was a fair result over the piece. I think the pitch played a huge part in it. It was pretty tight and a bit of a quagmire by the end.
“We started the game brighter and scored within the first five minutes from a corner and I thought we would go on and dominate, but it was one of those games.
“We both created chances and I think we were both disappointed we didn’t score more goals.”
Playing in familiar territory and so quickly against the same team could be the edge his side needs.
He explained: “We understand how they play now. It should be an advantage and we are looking forward to Saturday to really show Maryhill how good a team we actually are. There are a few boys who are wanting to prove themselves.
“We know that being in the Scottish Cup it’s going to be difficult regardless of what leagues the other teams are in.
“I think we know how to play them now and we need to do whatever we can to win, that’s the bottom line!”
