Gowfers out for revenge, says McSkimming

Gowfers’ gaffer Alan McSkimming takes his team back on the road tomorrow (Saturday) but this time he will be looking for more.

The boss was not happy with the showing that saw his side lose to Ballingry Rovers last week. He said: “The pre-match preparation wasn’t ideal. There were a few issues and we never really recovered from that. We generally didn’t do enough and we got what we deserved out of it.”

Moving on though, Panmure face Dundee rivals Lochee United in the first round of the North / Tayside Inter-Region Cup.

The boss said: “We always look forward to playing them and this will have a bit more spice because last time they beat us so we will be looking for revenge. It’s a huge game on Saturday and we know how they will set up and they know how we will set up so it will make for an interesting game and a bit of a battle of wills for the management teams.

“Whatever starting 11 we put out we are confident we can get a result against anybody, especially when the chips are stacked against us.”
