Henry Dolan Cup victory for Monifieth

ONLY three local Dundee and District Football Association teams managed to play their matches at the weekend, with Monifieth under-17s the only victors in their Henry Dolan Cup tie.

Carnoustie Panmure Youth FC are looking for youngsters who were born in 2004. Training is on a Tuesday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at Carlogie School. The team will be playing seven-a-side games starting in March.

All teams still in cup competitions must inform J. Manzie of any unavailable dates for cup finals during March/April/ May before January 26. No dates can be guaranteed.

Amateur fixtures hit by weather

THE WEATHER once again created havoc with the amateur football fixtures with ony two games involving local teams being played.

Monifieth rattled in a huge score against Edzell in their Trident Trophies Division Two clash and in the A.M. Phillip Alliance Division One match Barnhill inflicted Carnoustie YM’s first defeat to move themselves off the bottom.
