BROUGHTY Athletic’s former manager, Kenny Cameron, who parted company with the club recently has heaped praise on the Whitton Park outfit.
In a letter sent to the club’s website, he said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as Broughty Athletic manager and will take away many great memories of my time spent at Whitton Park.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Gordon and the Broughty committee for their support throughout. We have all come a considerable way since I first took over and I feel the club’s profile has now been raised and left in a much healthier state both on and off the park now.
“The webmaster Bob McPherson has produced a fantastic website and one Broughty should feel quite rightly proud of.
“To everyone who has been involved in my backroom staff, it has been fantastic working with you and thank you all for all your hard work and effort.
“No-one can ever deny there is a superb team spirit at Broughty and all the players have been a pleasure to work with, always giving me 100 per cent commitment throughout, both at training and during games.
“Finally I would like to thank players, managers and committee members from Junior clubs throughout Scotland for taking the time to phone or send a message. The response has been quite incredible and very much appreciated.
“From a personal point of view I will now take time out and reflect, before deciding where my next management position lies but I wish Broughty every success in the future.”
