Lochee United 1,
Carnoustie Panmure 2
On Monday evening, Carnoustie Panmure travelled to Thomson Park to meet Lochee United in the McBookie.com East Superleague.
Lochee kicked off and straight away Blackwood tried a long-range shot, but it was straight at Macpherson who had no trouble stopping it. At the other end M. Scott made a good run and sent in a great cross to McIlravey, but his shot was wide.
Dailly was tripped in the box by Kirk, but the referee waved away Carnoustie’s penalty claims. Lochee then came close when Gates made a good run and sent in a cross, but Deasley’s effort hit the top of the bar. In 33 minutes Percey was booked for dissent and four minutes later Lochee took the lead. Percey fed the ball through to Gates who hit a shot from the edge of the box. Macpherson managed to block it, but the ball fell kindly to GATES who shot home from close range.
Just on half-time Carnoustie almost drew level when M. Scott fed a great ball through to Clark on the edge of the box and his fierce shot came back off the inside of the post, but he then hit the rebound over the bar.
Half-time: Lochee United 1, Carnoustie Panmure 0.
Carnoustie got off to a great start in the second half when McILRAVEY hit a thunderous shot into the net from 35 yards out to level the match. In 65 minutes Blackwood was replaced by Voigt and a minute later Roberts was booked for a foul on Percey. In 75 minutes Perera came on to replace Dailly and a minute later Deasley was replaced by Nalls.
In 81 minutes Carnoustie took the lead when L. SCOTT was downed in the box by Krobot and he smashed the penalty past Adamson.
In the final minute Perera was booked for a foul on Krobot. Lochee had one last chance when a Gates corner was tipped on to the bar by Macpherson and Krobot headed the rebound past the upright.
