Ruthlessness was the only thing lacking in Saturday’s draw according to Gowfers’ gaffer Alan McSkimming.
According to the boss the 1-1 scoreline against Ballingry Rovers was a fair reflection. He said: “I think if anybody had been at the game the first 15 to 20 minutes we played some of our best football yet and we probably should have put the game to bed in that time.
“We both created chances, maybe more than them, but no one was that clinical in front of the goal and it was possibly a better point for us than it was for them.
“Over the piece though, a draw was probably a fair result.”
Tomorrow (Saturday) they welcome ascendant league side Bo’ness United. Alan said: “We’re looking forward to the game. We didn’t do ourselves justice when we played them earlier in the season and I feel we can certainly take something away.
“I’m always confident. I know they are sitting near the top of the league at the moment but sometimes you are there to be knocked down.”
On Wednesday Panmure announced it had signed on loan 19-year-old midfielder Duncan Reid from Forfar Athletic.
