CARNOUSTIE Panmure’s first ever under-19s side is hoping to replicate their pre-season success in the new term.
The team is managed by Billy Hoon who has moved up from his post as manager of the Panmure under-17s squad.
Billy has already made 10 additions to his side and is confident his new team will make an impact on the President League next season.
Joining him on the management side are coaches Chris Harper and Mike Andrews, who was also recently Carnoustie Panmure club president.
Billy said: “We all bring something different to the table, which is really good.
“We work hard as a team to get the best out of the lads and the bond with the coaching team is getting stronger which is really important.”
They are currently four for four in their pre-season fixtures, and all with clean sheets.
Fellow President League club Celtic Boys have lost to them 3-0 twice, Broughty United suffered an 8-0 drubbing and on Sunday Luncarty under-19s lost 2-0.
Billy added: “The signs are there that if we continue to work hard we can get a lot of good results.
“But we must keep playing to the level we are at now and not let it slip.
“We have a great bunch of lads who all work hard and are eager to improve and as manager I will continue to push them hard and hopefully have a successful season.”
