Carluke Rovers 2, Broughty Athletic 1
BROUGHTY Athletic made the journey to South Lanarkshire on Saturday to face Carluke Rovers in an Emirates Scottish Junior Cup third round tie.
The match was played in terrible conditions with driving rain and high winds spoiling the occasion at the impressive John Cumming Stadium.
The visitors went a goal behind in 65 minutes when a fine free kick into the box from Jamie Dickson was volleyed home by David GRAY.
The Fed equalised five minutes later when Steven TWEED headed home a Martin Flynn corner kick.
Darren HAMILTON finished off neatly from a Craig Stewart cross into the box in 85 minutes for the decisive goal.
Manager Kenny Cameron commented on the terrible conditions but restricted his immediate after match comments on the game itself to “disappointing result”.
