CARNOUSTIE Panmure Youth FC had mixed fortunes on Sunday with the under-15s narrowly going down to Dundee United SC away from home and the under-13s recording a good home victory over old rivals Fairmuir.

Under-15s

Dundee United SC 4, Panmure 3

Dundee United had a few chances in the first half, but Panmure managed to hold them at bay.

Ben Adam scored the only goal, for the visitors.

United came storming back into contention in the second half, scoring three goals in quick succession to make it 3-1.

Carnoustie captain Brannan Millar scored from a free kick, and Oliver Nicol added another to make it 3-3.

However, with just three minutes left on the clock, the home team scored to take the points

Under-13s

Carnoustie dug out another gutsy performance, on a chilly afternoon, with a win over their old rivals Fairmuir.

Two first half goals, a 20-yard screamer from Connor Buchan, and another quality finish from Connor McArthy, sealed all three points, to put them joint top of the league.
