Gowfers boss Alan McSkimming got what he asked for at the weekend as his side bounced back with a 3-1 victory.
On Saturday Panmure vanquished local rivals Tayport, much to Alan’s delight.
He said: “It was a great game and I was delighted with the performance of the players.
“For large portions of it we dominated the game and as with previous weeks we were creating chances and we took them, but this time we were a bit more clinical in front of goal.”
He added: “We were looking for a reaction from the boys. It was a great overall performance and everybody produced a level of performance that we expected from them. We’re looking to continue that level of consistency and we will be expecting that week in and week out.
“We are trying to make sure the level of training is such a high standard that we have no excuses.
“We just need the boys to continually work on that, building belief and confidence. The more we win the more of a buzz there is about the club.”
Tomorrow (Saturday), Panmure begin the quest for silverware as they face Southern League side West Calder United in the first round of the East of Scotland Cup.
Alan said: “It’s a wee break from the league for us. We’re looking forward to the game, it will give us an opportunity to get some guys out who have not had as much game time as they would like to and let them get some minutes under their belts.”
