CARNOUSTIE Panmure Junior Football Club held their annual presentation of awards combined with a snail race fun night in the Station Hotel on Saturday.
Chairman David Laing congratulated the management team and players on winning promotion and so regaining their Super League status. Adding that the backroom staff also deserved praise for this achievement, he hoped the club would go on to more success in the coming season.
The following presentations were then made by club vice-president Jim Armstrong.
The player-of-the-year and players’ player-of-the-year awards both went to John Roberts in his first season with the Gowfers.
Supporters Club player-of-the-year was Steven Cook, while the supporters’ award went to Robert Hendry.
Top scorer was Kevin Milne, while Steven Narey took the clubman award for the fourth successive year.
Retiring club secretary Russell Park was presented with a decanter and glasses and a framed print of Westfield Park to mark his 40 years in the post.
