His side may yet to win this season but Gowfers’ boss Alan McSkimming is confident the results are just around the corner.
They fell 4-0 to Bonnyrigg Rose at New Dundas Park after a disputed penalty and some individual errors last weekend and then went down 2-0 at Laing Park against local rivals Lochee United.
Alan said: “On Saturday we were playing against a team that challenged for the Super League title last year.
“We were disappointed with the actual result but the performance was still quite good.
“On Tuesday two individual errors cost us the goals, but we dominated the game, and how we didn’t score I just don’t know.
“It was just one of those games, it’s been a frustrating couple of matches.”
Tomorrow (Saturday) they welcome Sauchie Juniors to Laing Park.
Alan said: “We are confident because of the quality of the performance, so we know we can go and beat anybody.
“We just haven’t been able to convert the chances into goals and that was the story on Tuesday.
“We weren’t clinical enough in front of the goal and hopefully we can work on that going into the game against Sauchie.”
Alan will be hoping to get some help from the home advantage.
He said: “We’ve had some good turnouts and we’re hoping for some good support and hopefully we will make a good account of ourselves and put some points on the board.”
The Gowfers will have a decent pool to choose from tomorrow with the only absentee being Scott Robertson who picked up an ankle injury during pre-season.
He is likely to be out of the running for at least another two weeks, leaving Panmure short a captain and a defender.
