Tie off for sixth time

WITH the Laing Park playing surface still bone-hard at the end of last week, Carnoustie Panmure’s scheduled home fixture against Whitburn in the ACA Sports East Premier League was postponed for a sixth time.

Elsewhere, however, several games were played and this has allowed East Region secretary John Reilly to make a number of adjustments to the fixture list. Consequently, the Gowfers now have an away league match tomorrow (Saturday) against Ballingry Rovers.

However, Ore Park is not exactly a happy hunting ground for manager Ian Gilzean’s men. On their last visit back on November 21, 2009, the Gowfers went down 1-0 to a disputed penalty goal and they also suffered a 4-1 reverse the time before that.

Tomorrow’s game is scheduled to kick-off at 1.45 p.m.
