Carnoustie West End Bowling Club will once again be represented at the Scottish Bowling Association National finals in Ayr later this year. The Kinloch Street based club’s Fours and Senior Singles entry have qualified for the finals, while they are still represented in the ladies’ singles. The fours of Colin Ramsay, Robert Torrie, snr., Ray Gowans and Mike Black defeated the Abbey’s Keiran Ross, Neil Paton, Jim Arthur and Ken Tosh 23-15 to go through. And in the Senior Singles, Derry Milne won a hard fought battle 21-19 against Roy Urquhart from Dudhope BC to seal his place.
Jackie Hall is flying the flag in the ladies’ singles. She won both of her games on Sunday, against Broughty and Balgay, 21-15 and will be hoping to jon her club members at Ayr by winning again on Sunday.
