Fun at ‘away day’ Bonspiel

PANMURE Curling Club held its annual ‘away day’ Bonspiel at Kinross Curling Rink recently.

The rotational format allows each lead to to move up one position every two ends, with everyone eventually having a shot at being skip.

Fortunately this is a very light-hearted outing and any rookie skip errors are often overlooked in the general scramble to stay in position.

A further complication was added to the mix this year with different scoring parameters introduced at various points in the match.

To add to the general hilarity each third was instructed to use a new style cue to deliver the stone.

After the match members were joined by their spouses for an excellent meal at Byzantium restaurant in Monikie.
